Everything you need to know about classes, policies and performances at Seed Music Academy.
Getting started
Booking your Class
Step 1 — New parent orientation A complimentary 30-min session with our director, in person or via Zoom. We'll walk you through the Suzuki Philosophy and our approach at Seed.
Step 2 — Trial class package Complete the new enquiry form. You'll be scheduled for two 30-min private lessons with the same instructor on the same instrument.
Step 3 — Full term enrolment Submit the Full Term Registration Form after your trial. Your invoice will follow for settlement.
Current students Re-enrolment requires submitting the Full Term Registration Form by the end of the current term.
Policies
Weather Policy
- Typhoon No. 1–3: Classes run as scheduled.
- Typhoon No. 8–10: If cancelled before noon, classes resume after 2 hours. If still in effect after noon, classes move online (except early childhood and some piano).
🟡 Amber / Red Rainstorm: Classes run as scheduled.
⚫️ Black Rainstorm: Same rules as Typhoon No. 8–10 above.
Full Term Schedule Changes
Submit a Lesson Change Form. A non-refundable processing fee of HKD $300 applies per form. Allow a minimum of 7 working days for processing.
Makeup Class Policy
- Trial classes — Valid 30 days from purchase. 24hrs notice to reschedule. May only be rescheduled once.
- Early childhood (age 1–4) — 8-class pack: max 1 makeup. 12-class pack: max 2 makeups. 24hrs notice for non-illness; 3hrs + doctor's note for sickness.
- Instrumental (age 4–17) — Sickness with doctor's note: lesson made up. Event absences: no makeup. Out-of-town with under 24hrs notice may attend online.
- Teacher absence — All classes rescheduled and made up. Credits must be used within the term.
Payment Policy & Method
- Payment due: Invoices are sent by email or WhatsApp. Payment is due within 48 hours. All fees are strictly non-refundable, non-transferable, and non-exchangeable once settled.
- We accept: Cash, cheque, PayMe, Visa, Mastercard, WeChat Pay, Alipay, FPS — online or in person.
- American Express is not accepted
Performances
Ticketing
- Performing students: Free entry.
- Parents: 2 complimentary tickets per performing student.
- Children under 3: Free, provided they do not occupy a seat.
- Extra tickets: HKD $200 per person, per concert.
Concerts & Rehearsals
- Application deadlines: March 1 and October 1 each year.
- Early childhood (age 1–4): Open to all students who have completed at least 8 lessons. Additional concert fee applies.
- Strings: Must pass Twinkle Graduations. Vocal: Teacher recommendation required. Piano: Not applicable.
- Piano accompaniment: Strings and vocal students receive 15 minutes of rehearsal with our pianist.
