Kateryna Gavrylova
Suzuki Early Childhood Music Teacher
Introduction
Kateryna Gavrylova is a performer and music educator from Poltava, Ukraine. She studied piano performance, pedagogy, and composition at music college after completing her local music school, and later graduated from the National Music Academy of Ukraine as a piano performer. From a young age, she received diplomas in local and international piano competitions, as well as in young composers’ competitions. She has performed solo and chamber music concerts in Ukraine, Russia, China, India, and Myanmar, sharing a wide range of classical and contemporary repertoire.
Kateryna began working in early music education while still a student in Kyiv and has since been teaching young children in Ukraine, Guangzhou (China), and Hong Kong. Her teaching brings together solid piano technique, imaginative play, and body awareness to help each student build a natural, joyful connection with music. Her artistic interests are broad: she plays flute and drums, composes music, sings, and performs in theatre projects, often exploring the meeting point between sound, movement, and storytelling.
